More and more families are choosing cremation.  Whatever reason you may have, if you are uncomfortable with a funeral home setting you may decide to have a celebration in honor of your loved one at your home.  Perhaps the cost of a traditional burial will effect your decision on the type of service you select.  For whatever reason, you may choose to have Direct Cremation Services cremate your loved one without all the frills and expense of a traditional burial.  Here is how we can offer a cremation to your family at a fraction of the cost. 

Director	Your family will meet with our director without any the additional cost of the support staff.
Location	Meetings can be held at either our parent company funeral home conveniently located in Essex Jct., and Fairfax, VT or at your home.
Urn Selection	Our price includes an urn of your choice from our selection of urns or you may provide an appropriate container of your choice.
Crematory	We use an established and reputable Vermont crematory.  Cremains will be available for the family within several days.  Cremains can be available sooner upon request.
Public Notifications	Obituary assistance can be provided if requested.  If you have a written notice it may be placed on our website where friends and family may leave online condolences.  You may also place up to three photos if you choose.
